I know I've been gone for quite some time now, but I'm back with a brief yet very important announcement:

Which is that I have to postpone blogging for a while.

Yes, yes, I know, I know, I've been gone for so long only to tell you that I'll be gone even longer-- which sucks, but it's been SO crazy here on my end that you wouldn't even believe!

I'm talking ridiculous!

I suppose that if I really had to, I could begin blogging again right away...but I have to admit that I'm a bit of a perfectionist; I like to put my all into everything I do, including this blog, and unfortunately for now I am just unable to do so.

Why? Well I can't really get into the details of that right now, partly because I don't want to bore you with the details which would probably take an absurd amount of time to explain anyway & and partly because of the circumstances of my "situation" which have not been made final yet, so just know that I am doing well & that will be back to nail blogging soon!

That's all for now!

P.S. If you are a new reader and you like what you see please feel free to subscribe for the moment that I return!

P.S.S. I'll be on just long enough to change my theme for spring. Any questions? Comments? Concerns? feel free to shoot me an email at neverendingnailart@gmail.com as I won't be around to moderate comments

design #22

Hello!

Hope your year is going well.  Although 2012 didn't go out with a "bang" for me (so to speak), I'm still surprisingly optimistic about the future! There's just something about the new year that gives you a new motivational spirit that you hadn't have before!!!

But on to the design!

I used NYX Advanced Salon Formula in Pastel Lavender and Sally Hansen Extreme Wear in Black On Black.
I used Pro Fx Quick Dry Top Coat and had some bubbling, a sad but common thing when using quick dry polishes. I also used some nail striping tape for the stripes.

I did this mani a while back but I'm sharing it now that I've got my blog back up and running:

I'll have to keep my posts as short as possible over the next few weeks, my computer is down and until I get mine back up and running I'll have to share a laptop with Charlie, who needs his laptop for work.

Hope you enjoyed today's post and tune in for more!

Sincerely,

I feel I have to tell you all about the the good news,

Over the past few months my nails have been growing really long and strong OMG!

And before I cut them down a bit I decided to have a little fun with them and make them pointed:

Tons of nail growth!!!

But not only that, they've gotten a lot stronger too!  I haven't even had a nail break in a really long time. I have, however, bumped my nails into things several times, which made my nails bend backwards though!!! Which  needless to say is extremely painful! But even though my nails should have broken by the force of impact alone, to my surprise, time and time again, they have not broken!!!

IT'S LIKE MY NAILS ARE ON STEROIDS!!!

"He-he-he." But not really! I'm pretty positive that the reason why my nails have been growing so long and strong is due to this:

Folks, I swear by this product.  Why? Because: While I have not used this product AT ALL since I posted on it in back in April of last year, IT IS STILL WORKING TO GROW MY NAILS. That's right! As bizarre as it sounds, ever since I've used Sally Hansen Nail Growth Miracle Serum on my nails (and toenails) back in April I have noticed without a doubt that my nails have been growing faster and longer than usual.  My nails are getting so long that I even have trouble typing out this post!!!

And the best part about it is that I only used this product once "off-and-on" over a period of 2 weeks!!!!! After the first 2 weeks I did notice that my nails were indeed much longer, which was great!  But the benefits were not realized until much later. Because after using SHNGMS for the short period of time that I did, my nails continued to grow and grow and gRoW!!! It's as though something had triggered in my nails on a molecular level causing them to grow faster and stronger than they normally do!

Now I know that it might sound like I being paid to say all these incredible things about this product. But let me make this very clear I have not been paid to say any of this stuff (I wish ;-P). I purchased this bottle at my local Walmart for $10.00 USD after passing it by dozens of times wondering if it would ever work for me.  AND IT DID!!!!! It even says on the box that it is Guaranteed! to work!!! Can you believe thattttt?!

If you are having trouble with brittle nails that won't grow, please consider giving this a try. It has truly worked for me and I figured that rather than keeping this awesome beauty secret to myself, that I would I would pass this information on to others <(^_^)>

You'll see in the very next post how my nails are still fairly long even after I clipped the points off and filed them round to do my next manicure. (click here to see!)

UNREAL!

That's all for now, hope you enjoyed this post!

design #21

Hello dear readers!

It's been months since I've last posted :'( . But rather than bore you to tears with the details like I always do, I am just going to jump right in to this next post!  n_n

This New Years, while sipping on some of the bubblies, I was racking my brain for something fun yet simple I could do on my nails in homage to the spirit of the New Year.

And then it hit me!

crumpled gold foil adhered with nail glue. no top coat.

A foil mani with all of the left over foil that came off of the top of the champagne bottle that Charlie and I popped open in celebration of the new year!

Though came out awesome, sadly it didn't last for long. Maybe I might seal it next time with a clear top coat.

Well, that's all for now!

Wishing you and yours a wonderful new year!

design #20

This design was done as an entry to Chalkboard Nails Cool Colors or Warm Colors Nail Art Contest!

In regards to the contest, It was very hard for me to stick with just cool or just warm tones which led to me not deciding on an idea till last minute. u_u

But in the end I decided to do a dragon design using only cool colors.  Kinda didn't come out how I had planned it, but I figured what the heck I'll submit it anyways :-P

Here is a sketch of the design:

The design as it was intended (on paper)

I decided to take down the photo of how it came out on my nails because I've been so unhappy with how it turned out. But rest assured I will redo this mani soon!!!

design #19

Here's a super quick mani that I did for the Fall Into Autumn Challenge:

I was very anxious to put my idea onto my nails, as you can see from my messy cuticles, and I must say I love it. I just couldn't resist the urge to lick my nails!!!

mmmmn yummmmy! IMMA EAT YOUUUU! (om nom nom)

I used L.A. Colors Nail Lacquer brand in Sheer Beige. I also used Sinful Colors Professional brand in Strip Poker and Olympia.

I can't wait to make some caramel apple pops this fall! I'm gonna make them extra caramelly!

Too tired to write more!

Hello!

Today I'm doing finger swatches of the 6 new Color Show polishes for Fall 2012.

Color Show is a brand of nail polish that was released earlier this year by Maybelline New York. Although they premiered with 40 shades, they're already introducing 6 new shades.  I'm glad to see that they're already coming out with some on trend colors for fall, because I absolutely love new colors! Who doesn't!

Metal Icon

1 coat. It applied so well in one coat that I didn't even opt for a second. It's a metallic bronze with gold and grey shimmer. While the muted brown beneath makes for a very subtle shade, it also has sparkly elements of flair up top.  It's milky, its bronzy, it's lovely.

Auburn Ablaze

2 coats. I really like this brown. Its a very rich auburn, dare I say wine colored brown.  It's a color that is very appropriate for the fall.  It applied evenly in two coats.

a very sheer dark gray with light pink/golden shimmer subtle shift to green

Cosmo Pink

3coats. I adore this color, it's subtle, soft and sweet; it speaks to the softer side of my personality. Unfortunately this photo does not do this color justice!  While the camera captures all the golden shimmer it fails to portray any of the pink shimmer nor any its grey-green base. The color can apply a bit streaky like most shimmery sheers tend to do but the formula is great. I might use this as a topcoat and see how it does.

A red-brown base with obvious green shimmer.

Downtown Brown

2 coats. The green shimmer in this polish is very noticable. Sometimes I'm looking at a green and sometimes I'm looking at a brown. At first I didn't care much for the color, but now I must say that it's grown on me!

Metallic Green with Gold Shimmer

Avant Green

3 coats.  Started off sheer on the first coat, and got streaky on the second, so for me a third coat was needed. Thought that it would have been a bit darker on the nail than it was but it's still very nice. I like how refined the metallic shimmer is on this one, it was also very well mixed and didn't run thick. Very high quality.

a metallic bronze/gold/green gold shimmer polish

Boho Gold

2 coats. Make no mistake, this is a gold polish! The green-blue duo chrome effect is too subtle to admire in this polish, which was disappointing because it looks so dramatic in the bottle. But I still enjoy how fiery it is in the center; a kind of copper shade, which then fades out into a gold, which then fades out into a dark gold.

Hope You Enjoyed!

Hello! How Are You All Doing?

(Warning this post is somehow heavy in exclamation points!)

I hope you are doing great and all is going according to plan. I have good news to share--I have taken on the Fall Into Autumn Challenge!!! Special thanks to those allowing me to participate!!! I feel giddy like a school-girl!

Speaking of school, tomorrow is my first day back. I am currently majoring in Graphic Design, and this semester I signed up for a painting and sculpture class. I can only afford to attend part-time, which sucks, because I'd really love to get my BFA sometime before I'm old! As of now my hearts just not into it;  I feel less like a student and more like a profit.  I hate it. I hate how they cut federal funding to students that need it most.

I could go on and on (and on) about how I feel but I won't. And while I'm very uncertain about how the  future will play out, luckily there are somethings I can always count on to get me through, like polish!

So On To It!

Back 2 School half-moon mani complete with chalkboard (thumb) crayon, loose-leaf, paper , pencil, and eraser :)

This was my first attempt at a half-moon mani using reinforcements. The half moons look more dramatic in real life than they do in the photo (why u lie camera?!).  When I first started doing this mani for the FIA challenge I thought it would be a lot easier to come up with an idea  for B2S but it's much harder than it looks! So I decided to keep it simple and "fall back" on some must have essentials. (no pun intended :p)

I used Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear brand in Blasck OutCeleb City, Fushia Power, Bubblegum Pink, and Lacey Lilac, I also used Sinful Colors Professional brand in Snow Me White, Pull Over, and Verbena.  Kleancolor brand in Pastel Blue and Green Grass was also used. China Glaze's Matte's Magic was finally used to give a matte effect for the chalkboard, paper,  and erasers.

I hope you enjoyed this back to school mani!

Stay tuned for more Fall Into Autumn Challenge posts!

This was a very bizarre find for me:

I found this beauty sitting by itself in a nail polish display rack the last time I visited Walgreens. It looked like a neon in the store so I was drawn directly to it. I double checked the label to make sure that it was a color I didn't already, it read "Bright-On." But it wasn't until I got home until I realized that something was very peculiar about this polish. I took another look at the name on the bottle and to my surprise it said Brilliant Sun. I thought that was very strange indeed, so I inspected the bottle thoroughly. I looked on the top of the cap for the name of the polish, but the sticker was missing! During my inspection I realized that one side of the bottle says Bright-On while the other it says Brilliant Sun.

I also noticed that the cap is slightly different; it's a dark gray shimmer, and not the standard silver chrome we're used to seeing.

(Left) Newer Cap (right) Older Cap

Intrigued by my discovery, I had to try it on.  When I did I really liked it. The color looks great even on my dark skin tone, and really pops; but is not neon to the point where it becomes an eyesore.  What's also cool about this color is that it just between a green and a yellow so sometimes when you stare at it will look cream yellow and other times it will look a soft lime.

B-right On, 3 coats. Ran  a bit thick from the start, so I added some lacquer thinner.

But I did have the feeling that I've seen it before. So I took a look at my shelves where I keep most of my polishes and that's when I saw it--smacking me in the face.  Sally Hansen's Xtreme Wear brand has duped itself! Green With Envy could very well be the twin sister of B-right On.

#370 Bright On! (Left) side by side with #110 Green With My Envy (Right)

In fact, Green With Envy is Just a shade darker than Bright On (Brillaint Sun)!

Finger Swatches of B-right On! (left) and Green With Envy (right)

Odd Indeed!!!

All in all, I really like both, but if you already have Green With Envy you may decide to pass on Bright-On , since they're not too much different.

Hope you found this review helpful!
